Titus 1:5-16 – Elders and Their Task on Crete

Titus was therefore called in to straighten out “what remained” (v. 5) in Crete. The appointed elders were to teach sound doctrine and refute false teaching. When Paul says that the deceivers must be “silenced” in verse 11, he is speaking in strong language.
