Exodus 19:1-25

The scene in the Exodus narrative shifts here and focuses on Israel and Mount Sinai. God uses Moses as His mediator as He addresses the Israelites. About seven weeks have passed since the events at the Red Sea, and Moses has led his people out of Egypt and into the wilderness of Sinai (Exodus 19:1). The journey has encompassed over 400 miles, traveled by foot! Now they reach Mount Sinai, where the remainder of the
events in Exodus will take place. God will soon reveal His covenant through Moses. Before He does that, God prepares His people for His presence.
